Durant: “This year I avoided the floppers and the frivolous”

by

THE Kevin Durant completed the NBA regular season this year, playing in 75 matches with the Suns. He had a similar number of participations from the 2018/19 season when he was competing in the Warriors.

However, in the 2019 Finals ‘KD’ suffered a ruptured Achilles tendoncausing him to miss the entire 2019/20 season (when he signed for Nets), while in the following years up to last year he had much fewer entries, with most of them being the 55 in 2021/22 in the jersey of the Brooklyn team.

For this fact, the 35-year-old superstar was recently asked, who emphasized that this year he remained healthy, as avoid players who flop and play casuallycausing injuries to others!

What Kevin Durant said in detail:

Fortunately this year no player was found flopping next to me. In the last couple of years, I’ve had a teammate who flopped next to me and an opponent who did the same, causing me to injure my meniscus. If it wasn’t for them, then I would have more toys. But, I’m glad that didn’t happen. He’s had some minor injuries this year, but nothing serious. I’m thankful for that… I also stayed away from the frivolous. Guys trying to get a contract don’t think they might injure someone by diving onto the floor. I know who they are and I will try to stay away from them».

In 75 games with the Suns, Durant averaged 27.1 points, 6.6 rebounds and 5 assists.
