THE Stefanos Tsitsipas with 7-5 and 6-3 in 95 minutes he overcame his obstacle Roberto Carbages Baena and advanced to the quarterfinals of the Barcelona Open.

After the match, the Greek tennis player declared that he was satisfied with his appearance and the streak which has built on touremphasizing how she gives him self confidence to continue to play well, despite the difficulty of maintaining such a high level of competition for a long time space.

In detail what he said:

For its dominance: “I had to stay there and try to find solutions, he was coming back well at some points in the match and I had to make big shots. My patience was there when I needed it. I was doing some really good things with my forehand and my serve was clicking at some point in the match, so I took some games with more ease. So I was conserving forces compared to earlier points in the match. I hit some big serves and that helped me gain momentum and confidence, knowing that I can serve like that. And I went through that on my returns as well, so it all worked at a good point in the match and I knew if I was lucky in a point or two, I would have a chance to break. That’s how it happened, so it made my life easier.”

For his eight consecutive tour wins: “It’s good that I’ve had a run like this, it gets harder as you go on. The hardest part is keeping it. It’s good to have that number so far though, it gives me confidence and I like being on that streak, it’s something you wish happened more often. I take the positives from all of this and pass it on to my tennis.”
