The legends of European football who admired the kids of Olympiakos

A host of European football greats attended his final Youth League in Geneva, where Olympiacos won the title with an impressive 3-0 against Milan.

Among the spectators in the stands of “Kolovre” were legends of the fields such as Luis Figo, Peja Mijatovic, Patrick Vieira, Oliver Birkhoff, Petr Cech, Juan Mata, Henrik Larsen, Giovanni Van Bronckhorst, Mikael Laudrup as well as the former red and white Eric Abidal, while the final was also attended by two distinguished coachesRafa Benitez (who last month was fired by Celta) and Roberto Martinez, coach of the Portuguese national team.

All of them closely admired the Olympiakos kids who won the title and showed that the future belongs to them. In fact, people who were close to the stands convey that the great figures of football they commented with flattering comments on the Greek team and remained speechless in impressive actions, such as Bakula’s reverse scissor goal, Papakanello’s personal goal and Kostoula’s perfectly placed ball.

Alongside, Vangelis Marinakis did not stop receiving congratulations by senior UEFA officials for the team’s performance and the work that has been shown to be very well done in the club’s academies.

What is certain is that the rising aces of Olympiakos have already entered several… blocks of teams and abroad, while of course the first team of Piraeus has, in collaboration with Jose Luis Mendiliber, a plan for their gradual transition to the first team.
