AEK ahead of Panathinaikos: “An OPAP Arena full of passion for victory, without putting the team in danger”

by

THE AEK issued a statement to the crowd ahead of the home derby with Panathinaikos (24/04, 20:30), asking an OPAP Arena full of passion in its support for Matias Almeida and his players, ignoring possible challenges.

The announcement of PAE AEK:

Friends of AEK

As important as it is that we are all together at our House and in the last home match of the season against Lamia, it is equally important that tomorrow’s (24/4, 8.30 p.m.) very crucial match with Panathinaikos should go smoothly without out-of-game risks for the our team.

We have to protect AEK from anything that could create a problem for them in their quest for victory. To protect her from any possible provocative action could be taken advantage of by anyone who wants to see her not achieving her competitive goals in the league. So it is not just trying to avoid some future punishment under the new very strict sentencing framework. It is mainly the attempt to protect AEK in the match itself with Panathinaikos.

Any sparkler, smoke generator, firecracker, any kind of object that could fall on the field of play, can bring a disastrous development for our team in tomorrow’s derby and the attempt to win the championship. Keep this in mind. Every possible moment of loss of temper, the slightest frivolity, can even decide the championship against us.

We also remind once again that risks from frivolities also exist on a personal level. Penalties for offenders are very severe and not deterrent. Therefore, protect yourselves and do not forget that the security camera system from the time the stadium opens is under the absolute control of the Greek Police.

It is very important not to engage in potential challenges at all. If they exist and in whatever form they may have. Indifference and even greater passion in supporting our team, must be our answer.

The doors of the OPAP Arena on Wednesday will open at 17.30. Make sure you are at the stadium as early as possible to avoid any kind of inconvenience. There will be strict pre-checks to rule out the case of transporting a prohibited – dangerous object into the stadium and to immediately remove those without a ticket. Banners or placards with abusive, provocative, racist or unsportsmanlike content are also prohibited.

If you do not have a match ticket, do not approach the pitch. Anyone who tries to enter the stadium without a ticket and any ticket holder who tries to assist someone else to enter the stadium without a ticket will face very serious penalties from both the Police and PAE AEK.

Do not carry a bag, bag or motorcycle helmet. Anyone who is visibly intoxicated or under the influence of drugs will not be allowed to enter the stadium and must not even approach the surrounding area.

Friends of AEK

The team needs our support to the absolute extent. Let’s all give everything we have in us to help the players and the technical team. We want an OPAP Arena full of passion for AEK’s victory and we can achieve this without having to put the team in any danger. We have already achieved this in every match since the new strict penalty framework came into effect.

All together at Our House until the final whistle of the season! All together on Wednesday night on the side of AEK for a great victory!

Thank you».
