The trend is now, after vast mansions and boats “floating states”, underwater constructions, for billionaires who now want to live something different, experiencing experiences beyond conventional limits.

It is exactly this need that part of the global elite wants to cover that an Austrian company wants to offer the possibility of deep diving with specially built private submarines that will bring the opulence and luxury of super yachts and will be able to descend 250 meters below the surface of the ocean staying there for up to four weeks.

Migaloo has revealed its ambitious plans for what it claims will be the “world’s one and only private submersible superyacht”, offering “an alternative holiday solution that cannot yet be offered by large privately owned surface vessels”.

The M5 submarine will be 165.8 meters long and 23 meters wide at its widest point, with a range of approximately 15,000 kilometers and a speed of up to 20 knots when on the water’s surface (or 12 knots when in the sea).

However, says Migaloo, “Desired submarine-yacht hybrid dimensions, style and interior design all depend on the owners’ preferences.”

So, as with every billionaire superyacht in existence, the default design includes a helipad, pool and spa, gym, art gallery cinema, party room, space for DJ equipment installation, as well as plenty of places to relax or dine. Optional amenities include a hot air balloon and an underwater shark feeding station.
