One victory away from winning the title in A1 women’s handball is the Nea Ionia… OFNI prevailed today (15/5) over the -title holder- PAOK at the “House of Handball” with 28-22, in their second playoff final between them, and made it 2-0 in the series. After this development, the team of Panos Goussios has the opportunity to celebrate the third victory needed to win the title in the next game of the finals which will be held at the weekend (May 18 or 19) in Nea Ionia.
If Nea Ionia manages to beat PAOK for the third time, who have no room for another defeat, in the next final between the two teams, they will celebrate the sixth championship in their history and “catch” the “Double Head of the North”, the GE Verias and ASE Ormis in the second place of the relevant list, behind the -polyniki with 12 titles- Anagennisi Artas.
