From Lecce to the… Champions League the awesome Atalanta!

by

Atalanta for big things! The “Bergamaski” prevailed with a score of 2-0 Leche and mathematically locked the Champions League!

With this victory in fact, his team Gian Piero Gasperini threw her out of the top five Romewhich now only hopes for the conquest of Europa by the Atalanta and she to finish in 6th place to participate “in the stars”.

The first half was quite balanced with both teams playing somewhat sluggishly, without either side having any significant phase. Atalanta entered the second half strongly with De Kettelar in the 48th minute to open the scoring. The visitors took the lead and soon doubled their lead with the usual suspect Shack in the 53rd minute, who showed just how much he was missing from the recent Coppa Italia final loss against Juventus.

Lecce then tried with some phases to reduce it, it was expected, however Atalanta kept their lead with relative ease. Somehow the 2-0 in favor of the “Bergamaski” remained until the final whistle and Gasperini’s team is now looking at the… stars!
