The president of SYRIZA-Progressive Alliance, Stefanos Kasselakis, asked the prime minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, to ask for an “apology” from the Greek people, Alexis Tsipras and Nikos Kotzias, for their attitude towards the Prespa Agreement, who accused of “merciless patriotism” and taunting”, around the Macedonian.

In his speech that he made in the White Tower square, Mr. Kasselakis emphasized that the June 9 European elections “should be the beginning of a deep renewal in persons, policies and institutions”.

“Citizens of Macedonia, a few years ago your city turned into the main stage of a merciless patriotism and I want to refer from here to the latest events. And I will be very careful not to make any partisan speculation, although the facts would allow me to do so.” said Mr. Kasselakis and continued: “I will send a clear mobile message to the prime minister. The Prespa Agreement is bilateral. If you continue to consider it treasonous you have only one way. Do what your officials said and what many of The executives say that if VMRO gives us the chance, the Macedonian fighters want the same. So, let’s go and see You do it. And you know why you don’t? Because the Prespa Agreement is what you wanted as a faction, but then Gruevski did not accept to make as many concessions as he did to the SYRIZA government, to Alexis Tsipras and Nikos Kotzias. This is the truth. And since you intend to observe the Prespa Agreement, as nationally beneficial, there are two moral prerequisites: First, to apologize to the Greek people for the hatred, division, intolerance that you have cultivated, in order to win the prime minister’s chair, shouting against one Agreement you agreed to.

Second, to apologize to two people, who you stuck the national discounter’s slur on them while they were doing their patriotic duty, Alexis Tsipras and Nikos Kotzias. These are moral conditions, Mr. Prime Minister, and I have no illusions that you will do it.”

Addressing those who disagree with the Prespa Agreement, he told them that he respects them and that they lied to them, used them, took their vote and now they are “begging” for the Agreement to be respected. “This is called absolute taunting”, he observed and added that “when a politician engages the citizen in one issue, he engages them in everything”.

Referring to the letter sent by the Prime Minister to the Commission on Accuracy, he characteristically said “and after the Prime Minister deceived anyone who speaks Greek with the argument of “imported accuracy”, now that this fairy tale has been exhausted, a new fraud has been hatched: He will send, he declared, a letter to the EU for the reduction of prices….Let him send the letter where it should be: to himself”

Regarding the European elections, he emphasized that it is one of the most critical electoral contests in the history of Europe.

He pointed out that “the contest of the European elections must be the end of arrogance and the beginning of a deep renewal in persons, policies and institutions”.

“Either we will bring about a decisive breach in arrogance, or we will live with the argument of 41% I have and do whatever I want. Either we will continue to live under a closed system of power of the few at the expense of the many, or we will claim a society in which no one he will not be left behind alone,” he noted.

“They had chosen as official opposition a party that would be convenient for them. They had planned how to spin the country for decades and you came and spoiled everything for them. And we still haven’t seen anything”, he said addressing the gathered.

Regarding the city of Thessaloniki, he said that it has been “brutally abused” and accused the government of coming to talk about an extension to a Metro that does not yet exist.
