Dorsey on sport-fm.gr: “We didn’t show up ready against Panathinaikos – I still don’t know anything about my future”

by

THE Fenerbahce returned to the Final Four after 2019, but the obstacle of Panathinaikos AKTOR proved to be insurmountable, as a result of which he was left out of the final, facing the confrontation with Olympic for third place (26/05, 18:00).

THE Tyler Dorseywho failed to make his presence felt in the semi-final with the “greens”, spoke to sport-fm.gr and the Christos Robolis for what caused the exclusion, the difficulty of finding motivation for one short finalbut also for his own future.

In detail what he said:

On what brought about Fener’s defeat by Panathinaikos: “I don’t know what went wrong, but we came in really bad and found ourselves behind 12-0. We were chasing the whole game, we came back, we came close, but it’s very difficult to deal with that. Whenever we came back, they would take the lead again because we were losing energy. So it was his fault that we didn’t show up ready and didn’t play hard.”

On the shot from the corner that went off the line, with Fenerbahce trailing by a point instead of equalizing: “I don’t think it would change anything. I didn’t play after that so I don’t know what would have changed. We had our chances, but we were losing the lead or letting them take it back. They have been a good team all season and it will be a nice final.”

On the difficulty of finding motivation ahead of a short final: “The season is over in a way, but I love playing basketball and I didn’t participate much in the last game, so if I get more time in the next game I will be excited. Hopefully I’ll get the chance, and as a team we’ll go down and play, that’s our job.”.

About his future and whether it can find him in Greece: “I don’t know what I’m going to do, I’ll think about it after we finish here and after the summer. It is something that needs thinking, I love Greece and the country’s basketball, I will watch the Greek finals. In general, I love Greece, they show me the most love of all European fans, and wherever I play I will always show love to Greece and its people.”
