Jordan’s autographed card was auctioned and fetched nearly $3 million

by

All sorts of heirlooms from his career Michael Jordan they continue to be sold at auctions. A 2003/04 Upper Deck card signed by the Bulls legend sold to the highest bidder for 2.928 million dollars! This is a new auction record for an Air card.

This particular card is a collector’s item, as only one of its kind was released worldwide, and it also bears his logo NBA, cut from the jersey worn by the player in a particular game. These figures skyrocketed the price, which started at $250,000 at auction and eventually “hit” more than ten times that amount.

However, the record amount spent at auction for an athlete’s card still belongs to one of the baseball legend, Mickey Mandle, from 1952, who in August 2022 had “caught” 12.6 million dollars.

The record for the most expensive athlete “heirloom” belongs to the jersey worn by Michael Jordan in the first final with the Jazz in 1998, the season of the so-called Last Dance, as it had been auctioned at $10.1 million in September 2022.

In the same auction as Michael Jordan’s card, one was sold Kobe Bryant jersey since the 80th game of the 2012/13 season, when the late Lakers ace suffered a ruptured Achilles but stayed in the game to make two shots. This jersey was auctioned for 1.2 million dollars.
