Eliason: “Happy at AEK, I made progress this year – Not the best Olympiacos took the Conference in our stadium”

THE Niklas Eliasson participates for the first time in the preparation of Sweden and speaking to a local media, he declared that he is happy to belong to AEK. The 28-year-old ace emphasized that he made progress this year, while he did not hide the hope of playing in Brazil, where he comes from, in the future. – his call-up to the Swedish national team for the friendlies with Denmark and Serbia: “I feel fantastic. It’s always been my dream to compete in the Swedish national team, it’s a great pleasure.”

-his absence until this year from the calls: “It’s only natural that I always wait to be called. There were times when I feel like I was closer to it, others further away. But I always had hope and to be in the selection now is a great joy.”

-his performance this year: “It is clear that this year was a step in the right direction. I think I made some progress in my game when the team did well and played in Europe. It’s been a good year and I’m glad I was given the opportunity to be here.”

-his origin from Brazil and the possibility of playing there: “My mother is from Brazil and clearly there has been some interest from there. I’ve been watching Brazilian football and the league since I was very young, so I have some connection. There must not be many Swedes watching it like me. But I enjoy AEK and I think it’s a wonderful environment to be in. My attention is directed there. It would be unlikely that I would ever play in Brazil. I don’t know, but I don’t think there have been many Swedish footballers in the Brazilian league. It would be a nice thing to live for. We’ll see if it happens.”

-Olympiakos winning the Conference at OPAP Arena: “In Greece the fans are very passionate and this was probably a bit sensitive for many. For Greek football, this success shows that all the big teams are getting good results and moving forward. I am 100% on the side of AEK and I think that maybe it is not the best that they won in our own stadium”.
