“The football department of A.S. Papagou is pleased to welcome Panagiotis Katsikas as the new Marketing Manager of our team.
He returns to the team from another position, as he was a football player of the team.
Panagiotis started his football career at the academy of O.F. Cholargou and then competed for the first time at men’s level in Aris Cholargou’s team for 3 years, starting at the age of just 14.
In the 2016/17 season he switched to our team, when we were competing in the 1st EPSA, being a member of a very successful course of the team.
Our team was the last amateur team in which he played, as for the last seven years he has been in professional teams of SuperLeague 1 and SuperLeague 2, such as Anagennisi Karditsa, PAS Lamia and Panserraikos, where he plays until today.
Panserraikos is so far the most important stage of his career, as he was a member of the team that achieved promotion to SuperLeague 1 in the 2022/23 season, having been voted the best goalkeeper of the northern group in SuperLeague 2.
This year, the Serres team took 7th place in SuperLeague 1, being the highest place in their history, with Panagiotis on their roster.
He was also a member of the U21 National Team, having played in a game with the blue and white team.
Panagiotis is a student at the Athens University of Economics and at the same time studying at the Johan Cruyff Institute in the Sport Sponsorship department.
The roles he will undertake are managing the website, managing social media and finding/advertising the team’s sponsors.
