Uproar from Amrabad’s statement about Casemiro-The clarification of the AEK player

by

While the AEK waiting for his answer Nordin Amrabad in the proposal he has made for a contract renewal, the Moroccan ace caused a stir with a statement he made on Dutch television. The 37-year-old extrem stated that Casemiro pretended to be injured when he found out he was not in the starting line-up for the FA Cup final between Manchester United and Manchester City, so his brother, Sofian Amrabat, jumped at the chance.

You can’t just take Casemiro out. But he did in the end, in the FA Cup final. He left in the warm-up. He was not injured, however. He saw that he was not going to start and then he thought: then I will sit in the stands. He was healthy enough to compete. This was simply a coach’s choice“, said Amrabad and these words caused reactions.

The ace of AEK wanted to make a clarifying statement shortly after, through social media. “Today during a TV interview it was implied that my brother played in the FA Cup final because of another player’s injury. My answer to this was a simple matter, and my only motive was to defend my brother, who found himself in the grass because of his own merit and hard work. My words were taken out of context, there was no ill intent to imply that the other player chose not to compete and it is wrong. I don’t know what happened that day, let’s move past this non-news“, he wrote on Twitter.

Amrabad he is expected within the week or at most until the next to answer in AEK’s proposal. He himself is looking to return to the Netherlands, where he grew up, for family reasons, but it is not at all unlikely that he will stay.
