After the Monaco Grand Prix, this year’s Formula 1 championship continues this three days (7-9/06) in Canada and at Montreal’s historic ‘Gilles Villeneuve’ circuit!
In recent days, the marmots that live near, but also in the grass and dirt surfaces of the track have gone viralwith pilots from all teams being photographed during the reconnaissance ride alongside these sweet little rodents.
After all, in the past, these animals have made their appearance many times in Formula 1 Grand Prix.
However, today they almost caused a serious accident when during the second tests and after heavy rain made the track slippery, one of the local marmots she took her walk on the pavement over a bend!
This resulted in Carlos Sainz of Ferrari braking hard to avoid it, with LLewis Hamilton who was next to… slam on the brakes, avoiding a fierce collision at the last moment!
