Giorgos Limniatis was born on March 22, 1971, and as a playmaker he made a long career as an international basketball player, playing successively for Panhellenios (two terms), Olympiakos, Papagou, Dafni, PAOK, Doukas and Sporting. He retired from active action at the end of the 2006-07 season.
He followed coaching and began his journey as an associate coach in N. Kifissia, Kymi and AEK, while he then took over as the first coach of Lavrio (2023) which led to staying in the division.
He renewed his partnership, but resigned before the start of the season. A few months later (October 2023) he took over the “reins” of Amarousiou, from which he left in February 2024.
He has also been a direct partner of Ilias Zouros in the national team of Georgia, while as a Federal he has sat on the bench of the National teams U15, U19 and U20.
