Olympiacos again next to the Metropolis of Piraeus

Specifically, the General Manager and Vice President of PAE Olympiacos, Kostas Karapapas, together with the president and CEO of “G. Karaiskakis”, Vassili Vasiliadis, were at the closing ceremony of the educational activities of the Diocese of Piraeus.

As part of the event, hundreds of “red and white” gifts were given to school children, offered by PAE Olympiacos. The red and white PAE thus continued its social action by offering and contributing again to the great work of the Piraeus Diocese.

In the Veakeio Theater, hundreds of young students from the schools of the Diocese had prepared a beautiful event for the parents and guests who attended, while at the same time a video was shown of the huge success of Olympiakos, the conquest of the UEFA Europa Conference League. During the video screening, the children sang the Olympiacos anthem and clapped as the team lifted the European trophy.

At the same time, Metropolitan Seraphim of Piraeus offered commemorative gifts to Mr. Costas Karapapas and Vassilis Vassiliadis, honoring the president of PAE Olympiacos, Vangelis Marinakis.

In his statement, the Metropolitan emphasized: “What I have to say is that this is Piraeus and this is where the heart of Olympiakos will always beat. Of a club that expresses fair play. The president is the great benefactor of the schools of the Metropolis, he recommended, equipped and created the Lyceum of the school. I thank them from the bottom of my heart for their help in every good work and I wish that they always have strength and that God always blesses their lives.”

For his part, Kostas Karapapas, addressing all the people who were in Veakeio, said: “What I want to say is that this year for us started hard, with adversities and difficulties and ended magically, in an amazing way and made us everyone proud. I want to say what happened in between, when the difficulties, the problems, the bad results came. We did not give up, we continued with strength and faith and reached this triumph. All as a family, together with all Piraeus, all Greeks and always with the Piraeus church by our side. So is life. It may have difficulties, but with our heads held high we always fight the good fight and in the end we will be victorious, this is how we have learned, this is how we continue. Let’s thank our Metropolitan because he gives us a large part of this strength and faith with his love”.
