A three-day (June 14-16) event of great importance takes place in Chios.
Where the Association of Veterans of Chios-Vrondados hosts the corresponding AEK team.
On Saturday (15/6), a friendly match between the two teams will be held at “Fafalio Stadium of Vrontado” at 18:30, in a special event. And this is because, on the one hand, it will take place in honor of 100 years of history of the “Union” (which he completed on April 13).
On the other hand, it has charitable purposeas part of the proceeds from the events will be donated to Association of Parents with Disabilities of Chios “SYNYPARCHO”.
At the honor events for the completion of 100 years since its establishment, the “present” will also be given by Thomas Mavros, with the “Eternal Ambassador” of AEK coming from Volisso, Chios. Also, other members of the “yellow and black” family will participate, such as Karafescos, Georgamlis, Karagiozopoulos, Batista, Pittas, Stylianopoulos, Aravidis, Pliatsikas and Pavlis.
For this great action, therefore, they spoke to News Bulletin 247 and to Manoli Mousourakis the president of AEK veterans, George Karafescos and the treasurer of the Association of Veterans of Chios-Vrontados, Christos Kartalis.
Of course, in the finale, Mr. Karafescu’s comment on the historic turning of the page in “Union” could not be missed, with the legend of the club singling out the Dimitris Melissanidis for his offering and to wish to Mario Iliopoulos ahead of his start on the “doubleheader”. As he explained, he believes that the Greek shipowner is the right one to be approved by the previous administrative leader of AEK.
