Nigel Williams-Goss took stock of this year’s Olympiakos season via a post on his personal Instagram account!
The American guard of the “red and whites” evaluating the completed season, states that it did not have the outcome that he and his team would have liked, while he began his post with a verse from the letters of St. Paul to the Thessalonians.
In detail what he wrote:
“Rejoice always, pray always, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Jesus Christ.
As year 7 ends and I reflect on the season this verse has been heavy on my heart. Obviously it wasn’t the ending we were hoping for after all the hard work that went into our goals. I would love nothing more than to post a championship photo, giving all the glory to the man above. But that’s life and that’s sport. Win or lose, good or bad, God remains the same – perfect. I’m grateful for the lessons I’ve learned, the incredible friendships made, and another opportunity to continue my career playing this game.”
