The Euroleague has put a sale on a part of its rights.
This is revealed in today’s publication by the Reuters agency, in which it is even pointed out that there are already the first interested companies to acquire a percentage.
Who are they; As stated in the publication in question, the companies BC Partners, EQT and General Atlantic they are the ones who have officially expressed interest in acquiring a part of its rights Euroleagueor even better her ECA (Euroleague Commercial Assets) to which belong two events, h Euroleague and Eurocup.
This publication does not mention the percentage that has been put up for sale by the ECAbut it is pointed out that in the event that one of the companies wants to enter into negotiations for the acquisition of the entire company then its value is estimated at a little over one billion dollars, that is, 1.07 billion dollars.
According to the publication n Euroleague has informed its teams, its principal members, from which it expects a response whether they are positive or not to proceed with negotiations on the deal.
Of course, this issue will be discussed in General Assembly which will take place in the next period of time with the teams being asked to make an extremely important decision, which will decide the future of the Euroleague and possibly many in European basketball.
The publication states that the agency asked the Real Madrid and Barcelona to comment on the information it has with both Spanish teams refusing to take a standto say something about the issue.
