The confrontation between Adonis Georgiadis and Zoe Konstantopoulou has turned into a feud, with the two politicians once again being led to a rift within the Plenary, this time over the train accident in Tempi.
In her intervention from the floor of the Parliament, the President of Plevsis Eleftheria repeated her accusations against the government of a cover-up, regarding the transfer of the container of the commercial train from Kalochori of Thessaloniki to Koulouri of Larisa, following the order of the Appellate investigator, with the Minister of Health to raise the gauntlet and attribute science fiction scenarios to her, citing a post by a victim’s relative.
“The Tempe parent comes out and says that the people who are saying what you just said on the floor of parliament are peddling science fiction scenarios and are liars. The parent who lost their child and now you come here, sounding like a preacher and tell us that you supposedly care? Tell that to Mr. Plakias,” Mr. Georgiadis emphasized initially in a strong tone, adding: “I prove once again in this room what a liar and hypocrite you are. Which you constantly bring to the body and poison the Greek society with conspiracy theories about a cover-up to serve political self-interest and you are not ashamed at all”.
“Why did you become an MP? You wanted to be a prosecutor at the time of the French Revolution and take people to the guillotine without a trial. That suited you”, commented the Minister emphatically, responding to Ms Konstantopoulou’s accusations that the government is trying to exonerate the former Minister of Infrastructure. “If you want to play Robespierre, go elsewhere and not to the Greek republic. And in general, when you see me in the hall, be together. I am not afraid of you, Robespierre,” he concluded.
“Calm down Mr. Georgiadis,” replied Zoe Konstantopoulou, reversing the arrows: “Retain yourself and try to forget this bully of yours who comes into the room and tells the only female party leader that you should be more collected.” “Leave this style and this bullshit”, repeated the president of Freedom Sailing with the Minister retorting: “You stop bowling in the parliament. You fancy yourself a Robespierre. You’re not!”
