Giannakopoulos was punished with a three-month ban on entering stadiums and a fine

A new penalty of a three-month ban on entry from the stadiums and a fine of 30,000 euros was imposed by the Sports Judge of the ESAKE on Dimitris Giannakopoulos.

The punishment concerns actions and statements of its owner Panathinaikos AKTOR through his posts on instagram, which constitute defamation of the sport. The “clover” was fined 50,000 euros.

Thus, the penalty of banning entry to Giannakopoulos reaches a total of 14 monthshowever, has the possibility of appeal to the ASEAD.

In detail, the announcement of the Sports Referee of ESAKE:

“1. DIMITRIS GIANNAKOPOULOS, owner of PANATHINAIKOS ATHLETIKOS OMILOS KALATHOSFAIRIKIS ANONYMIS ETEIREIAS (d.t. KAE PANATHINAIKOS) is imposed the penalty of banning entry to all stadiums temporarily for a period of three (3) months and a fine of thirty thousand (30,000.00) ) euros, for his actions and statements that constitute defamation of the sport, actions that took place on 6-21-2024, through his posts on the social networking medium Instagram, and

2. A monetary fine of fifty thousand (50,000.00) euros is imposed on the PANATHINAIKOS ATHLETIKOS OMILOS KALATHOSFAIRIKI ANONIMI ETAIREIA (d.t. KAE PANATHINAIKOS) for acts and statements of its owner, which constitute defamation of the sport, and took place during above».
