With a post on social media, the Toronto Raptors formalized the start of their partnership with Sasha Vezenkov.
THE Toronto club recently acquired the 28-year-old forward (who is in Sofia) in a trade from the Kings and wanted to welcome him. Last Friday, the team from Sacramento, which had the former ace of Olympiakos on its roster, said goodbye to him with a relevant message.
It remains to be seen if they will retain the former MVP of the Euroleague Raptorswith him declaring: “Right now all I can say is I’m a Raptors player. We haven’t talked yet. You know last season wasn’t the easiest for me, but I’m working hard, I feel good. I don’t know how long I will stay in Bulgaria, this summer is somewhat more special. I’m spending more time in Greece also because of my injury, I’m doing treatments there and we’ll see what happens. I try to focus on myself as much as I can.
Right now I’m a Raptors player, we have to see what they want from me, what their mood is. It’s going to be a long summer and all I care about is staying healthy. As for the teams interested in me, it’s always nice to have you. There are also good dilemmas in life. However, I say it again, right now all I care about is being healthy. I have focused a lot on myself to be at 100% at the start of the year».
