Evangelia Athanasiadou became a PAOK volleyball player on Sunday. The “black and white” amateur announced the acquisition of the 23-year-old passer for the next season, in order to strengthen the pass, with her competing in the season that ended at Elpida Ampelokipi.
In detail, the announcement:
“Born on 09/12/2001, Evangelia Athanasiadou competes as a passer and is 174cm tall.
She took her first steps in volleyball in the 2017-18 season from Elpida Ampelokipi, in which she also competed the following year (2018-19). In the 2019-20 season he pursued the… American dream, studying and playing for the University of Iowa.
The next competitive season (2020-21) found her at Saint Louis University, where she remained the following season (2021-2022). In the 2022-23 season he returned to Greece again, playing in the jersey of Admiral Votsis. Last season (2023-24) he returned again to Elpida Ampelokipi.
Regarding the start of cooperation with PAOK, Evangelia Athanasiadou stated on the club’s official website, acpaok.gr: “I am very happy that this year I will be at PAOK. It’s a new beginning for me and I thank the management and the coach for the trust and the opportunity they give me to contribute to the team’s effort to achieve its goals. I can’t wait and I hope we have a positive year with health”.
