After the officialization of the contract renewal of Jeriand Grant, Panathinaikos AKTOR announced its new collaboration with Marius Grigonis.
The Lithuanian ace has been known to have agreed terms with the Greens for months over his stay and today the Greens have… confirmed it, with the player now having another three years on his contract.

He first answered about what the renewal of his contract with Panathinaikos AKTOR from last April until the summer of 2027 means for him: “It means a lot. It basically means that the club has shown me respect for the work I do in the team, which is very important to me. At the same time, it is something that gives stability and happiness to my family. We are very happy in Athens at a great club like Panathinaikos and we are happy that we will be here for years.”
Marius Grigonis was one of the most pivotal players of Panathinaikos AKTOR last season. When asked if he expected so many successes last summer, he commented: “After these transfers that were made clearly I was expecting a better season than the previous one, but not to take it all in our first year as a new team. We wrote history that will forever remain written in the minds of the world.”
Regarding his goals for next year, the 30-year-old guard-forward emphasized: “The objectives I think are clear: to maintain the same level of performance and to be one of the best teams in Europe, at least.”
In closing, he wanted to send a message to the team’s friends: “Rest as much as possible in the summer when we don’t have competitive obligations because we will go strong again next season».
