Kyparissi is moving to Germany

Stamatia Kyparissi is abroad again. The 22-year-old Greek international winger left PAOK, after a year of returning to domestic events, and agreed with Dresden, who announced her acquisition for the following year.

In fact, Kyparissi will be the first athlete from Greece in the history of the German team.

In detail, the announcement:

“Dresdner SC is pleased to announce the transfer of Stamatia Kyparissi, the first Greek player in the club’s history. With this support, the planning for the new season 2024/25 was completed.

Excited, the club’s coach, Alexander Waibl, emphasized: “Stamatia is an athlete with aggressive qualities. He is in good physical shape and competes with passion.”

Having already played with PAOK Thessaloniki and Hungarian KNRC Kaposvar, Stamatia has impressive experience. Her biggest achievements are winning the Greek Cup in 2021 and several MVP awards in younger competitions.

She has been a member of the Greek National Team since 2015 and has participated in the 2022 Mediterranean Games and the 2022 European Championship. This summer she will compete in her national team and for the qualification for the 2026 European Championship.

For her part, Kyparissi said: “I’m looking forward to the coming season. I am honored to be a part of this amazing team and I look forward to working hard and achieving all of our goals.
