Titan Alkarath, swept Djokovic and took back Wimbledon!

by

You are great Carlos Alcarath and… your works are wonderful!

The Spanish tennis player has been trying to “finish” tennis since he was 21 years old, after winning 3-0 (6-2, 6-2, 7-6) in Novak Djokovic in his final Wimbledon and won the great tournament for the second time in a row, again against the Serb!

This is the fourth Grand Slam of Alkarath, as in addition to the two Wimbledons he has won this year’s Roland Garros but also the US Open of 2022, with the Australian Open remaining his only… pending, although something tells us not for long!

In addition to the above, the 21-year-old became just the sixth tennis player in the Open Era to win Roland Garros and Wimbledon in the same year, after them Rod Laver, Bjorn Borg, Roger Federer, Rafa Nadal and Novak Djokovic!

The race

From the first set, o Spaniard showed that he entered the match to win it, as he did break with “good evening” and reached second in the fifth game, as a result of which he easily made it 1-0 with a score of 6-2.

The same situation was repeated in the second set. THE Alcarath “broke” Nole’s serve in the first game, did it again in the seventh and cruised to another 6-2 victory, making it 2-0 and getting even closer to victory.

The third set was the only one that really resembled a final. The two players held their serve until the ninth game, when o Alcarath he broke and had the chance to seal the victory by serving himself.

Even though the 21-year-old led 40-0, Djokovic faded three match points and finally managed to answer. Somehow, the third set was headed to tiebreakwhere the two great tennis players fought to the end, with Alcarath to win 7-5 and lift the trophy.

The sets: 6-2, 6-2, 7-6 (6-4)
