In a beautiful ceremony that took place in her surroundings OPAP Arenathe impressive statues of its two legends were unveiled AEKwith dozens of fans of the team, the families of the footballers, but also other big stars of the past, to be “present”.

“It was the last commitment I had given to these two great footballers, that I commit when this stadium is built, outside the stadium there will be their two statues. I grew up with these two great footballers. Coincidentally they are both Pontians and I had a particular weakness for them.

For me they were the greatest footballers from the club that passed. I became an AEKtzis from Kostas Nestoridis and I hope that in the future, we have space for other statues of Thomas Mavros, Stelios Manolas and there are also other children. Thank you”.
