São Paulo F1 GP: see photos and videos of the planes’ arrival

In recent days, drivers, team members and the entire F1 circus have landed in Brazil for the São Paulo GP, which officially starts this Friday (12) with training at the Interlagos racetrack. The race will be on Sunday (14).

The AeroIn website gathered records of the arrival of planes that brought equipment and also some of the stars of the main category of world motorsport.

According to the website, on Tuesday (9), the Boeing 777 belonging to the Conlux Aruba company, used in luxury tourist charters around the world, arrived at Guarulhos airport. In it were guests of the International Automobile Federation. Most pilots landed on Monday (8), on flights operated by Latam.

The cars and equipment entered the country through Viracopos airport, in Campinas.

According to Mônica Bergamo’s column, six cargo planes and 54 maritime containers were needed to transport the material. The air cargo brought to the country is equivalent to 900 tons. Another 400 arrived by ship. Land transport moves 90 trucks.

F1 2021 season leader Max Verstappen made a stop in Brasília before heading to São Paulo. In the federal capital, the Dutchman visited his father-in-law, three-time champion Nelson Piquet. Only on Thursday (11) did the Falcon 900EX trimotor jet, with a paint job reminiscent of the Red Bull team car, land at Congonhas airport.
