PAE ARIS announces the acquisition of Hugo Mallo Novegil for the next two years.
The new acquisition of our team was born in the Spanish city of Marin, Galicia, on June 22, 1991 and joined the Celta Vigo academies as a teenager. He made it all the way to the first team in the summer of 2009.
Until 2011 Hugo Mallo went through the Spanish national team U19, U20 and U21. He “linked” with Celta Vigo and developed into an iconic captain of the team, completing 15 years at the club, making 449 appearances (12 goals and 28 assists) in Spain.
He decided to leave last summer. Last season, Hugo Mallo played in Brazil with Internacional. After 20 appearances and 2 goals in Serie A, Copa Sudamericana, Copa Libertadores and Campeonato Gaucho, Mallo was released and as of today is a member of the Aris family.
