Four for the two-faced Olympiakos with fresh blood!

by

Dortia for him Olympic against Ternana!

The Piraeus the Italians prevailed 4-0, introducing two faces to the showdown. In the first half they were mediocre, creating only two chances, with Masoura as the protagonist who had a goal post in the 21st minute!

In the second half, their performance skyrocketed, they dominated the pitch, with the fresh blood to spread smiles even in the usually moderate Mediliber.

THE Gelson Martins opened the scoring in the 58th minute with a shot from inside the area from his assist Yaremchuk. Two minutes later, Koutsidis scored with a commanding header, scoring his maiden goal with the first team. Velde scored on his debut with a powerful shot in the 78th minute. The 4th goal was achieved by Papakanellos with a double effort in the 82nd minute, while in the 63rd minute he also had one beam.

On Saturday, the holders of the Conference League face (18:00) Roma in a friendly match.

In the coach’s mind:

Olympiacos started with 4-3-3. Anagnostopoulos was in the goal, Abi and Koutsidis in the center of the defense, while Kostinia and Apostolopoulos were the backs. Retsos, who had Mouzakitis by his side, moved to the midfield, while Papakanellos completed the trio. In the “wings” were Z. Martins and Masouras, while at the top was Yaremchuk.

The match

Ternana appeared more “warm” at the start, having the initiative of the movements and two good moments. From his cross-shot in the 2nd minute, Anagnostopoulos sent it into the corner with difficulty, while three minutes later Ferrante was forgotten by the Olympiakos defense, but missed with a header.

The Piraeus team did not press well in the first period of the match, lacking chemistry, but they gradually built up and in their first good moment they almost opened the score and while Kostinia’s cross shortly before was deflected in front of Yaremchuk. In the 21st minute, Masouras left vertically, executed with the left, with Franki finding the ball a little, which ended up wide, after finding the left post. Seconds later the international ace was again in a shooting position and his shot sent the ball just wide of the right post.

Until the break, there wasn’t really a good moment of the game, with Ternana creating a suspicion of phase in the 31st minute when Ciccerelli headed in from the left, but Abi cleared after his turn.

The Piraeus team presented a completely different face in the second half, with the movement of Papakanellos to the left and Masoura close to Yaremchuk making them more flexible. Olympiacos brought out more tension with the “good morning” and threatened with shots from outside the area by Kostinia and Retso. The real highlights came in the 54th minute, however, with Yaremchuk shooting (54′) one-on-one after a mistake by the opposing defence, but Frankie said ‘no’, as did Costinia’s header (54′).

Four minutes later he opened the scoring, with Yaremchuk feeding Zhelson who opened the scoring with a diagonal shot. In the 60th minute, Koutsidis dominated a corner and made it 2-0 with a header. Olympiacos looked for a 3rd goal and almost got it in the 63rd minute with Papakanello’s shot stopping at the right post.

Velde came on in the 71st minute and five minutes later found the net with a strong shot. In the 82nd minute, it was time for Papakanellos to find the net. After Masouras didn’t give up, Zelson missed a chance and the young ace with a double effort (and the post keeping the ball alive) sent the ball into the net.
