We’ve written about it many times, at some point it will cease to be a… special introduction, but Liverpool are still the only Premier League side not to make a transfer this summer.
And the story doesn’t stop there. Because Arne Slott’s “reds” are the only team in the top five leagues that has not added a single player to its roster for the new season.
This is obviously something that has caused concern among friends of the team. But out of nowhere, a summer, transfer scenario, can financially strengthen Liverpool, so that they can move more comfortably in the future and make their “maiden” move in the Arne Slott era!
What do we mean by this? As oxymoronic as it may sound, there is one Big 6 team that seems willing to… pay Liverpool, during the summer! Who is she; Tottenham! And why would he do that? Because he wants to make Dominic Solanke his own from Bournemouth, with the Reds having secured a significant resale share since selling him to Iraola’s club.
So Bournemouth had bought him from Liverpool in 2019 with 19 million from Liverpool and the latter had put in the terms of his move to “Vitality”, a 20% resale percentage.
Now, after the player’s amazing season, Bournemouth value him at 65 million. This is the amount he is asking from Tottenham. What does this mean; That the team itself will have 46 million as a profit and that at the same time, Liverpool will get – without the bonuses – an amount that “reaches” nine million. Could it be that way, it is easier for her in the next period, to stop being characterized as the only “idle” in the transfer “bazaar”?
