Great move by PAOK with Baranik

Valeria Baranik became a PAOK handball player. The amateur “two-headed” announced the acquisition of the 31-year-old international Russian pivot for the next year, so that she can be strengthened at the ends of the attack and take the lead again in A1 women’s handball.

In the season that ended, Baranik competed in Konyaalti, Turkey.

In detail, the announcement:

“PAOK and the women’s handball department, PAOK mateco, announce the start of cooperation with the athlete, Valeria Baranik, for the 2024-2025 season.

Born in Russia on 17/11/1993, Valeria Baranik competes as a pivot and is 181cm tall. She took her first steps in handball from the Russian LADA in 2010, staying there until 2013. In this three years she won all the championships of the age groups.

The 2013-14 season found her in Rostov-on-Don’s shirt, with which she got her first performances from the women’s level, as well as the championship level.

The following season (2014-15) he played in Belarus for BNTU-Belas, with which he won both the Belarusian championship and the Baltic League championship.

He then spent four years (2015-19) in Turkey, wearing the shirt of Muratpasa. During this journey, he won a Turkish championship, a Cup and a Super Cup, while adding valuable experiences from the top inter-club European competitions.

The following two years (2019-21) found her again in Russia, this time on behalf of Kuban. A new two years followed in Turkey (2021-23), this time wearing the jersey of Yalikavak. There, he won the Turkish Cup in the 2022-23 season.

Last season he competed again in Turkey, playing for Konyaalti, producing excellent performances which led to a third place finish in a highly competitive and quality league.

He is international with the Russian national team, having participated in major competitions.

On the start of cooperation with PAOK, Valeria Baranik stated on the club’s official website, acpaok.gr: “I am very happy to be given the opportunity to play for PAOK. I want to help the team win as many trophies as possible. I hope that the coming season will be excellent.”
