Angelos Foskolos became a pole player of Apollon Smyrna on Tuesday. The “light brigade” announced the acquisition of the 29-year-old international striker for the next year, year to strengthen the center of their attack after the athlete’s amazing last season with Peristeri.

The 29-year-old 1.98m tall winger is the perfect addition to the ‘light brigade’ signings, coming off an excellent year with Peristeri, with whom he scored 71 goals in 30 matches in Greece and Europe.
Angelos Foskolos comes to Apollon to form a magical duo at 2 meters together with the leader of the ‘blue and white’, the international winger, Manolis Solanakis! A very powerful duo that promises magical moments in Greece and Europe!
Born on 24/1/1995, the fighter started his career at Olympiada Petroupoli, already having competitive experience at the men’s level since he was 14 years old, competing in the Second Division.
At the age of 16, he was transferred to Panathinaikos and with it… his baptism of fire in the ‘living rooms’ of Greek water polo (A1), in which he subsequently established himself as one of the best players in the category. In fact, in the 2014-15 season, wearing the cap of Panioni, he won the title of the best young player of the year, having scored 42 goals in 25 games (Cup, league).
He is international with the age groups of the small National teams, having as successes the silver medal with the Youth National Team in the Mediterranean in 2015 and the fourth place in the World Championship of the same year in Kazakhstan, while in 2017 he was also invited to the preparation of the National Men’s Team by Theodori Vlacho.
In the summer of 2019 and, after two years at National Piraeus with 100 goals in total, he was transferred abroad, competing in the very strong Hungarian league as a player of Zeged (30 goals in 17 matches).
In 2020, he returned to Greece, becoming the ‘power’ in the 2 m. every two years, first of Idraikos and then of Peristeri.
