Renewed with Kapetakis, Boudouris and Karditsa

Evdoxios Kapetakis and Christos Boutouris remain Karditsa basketball players. Thessalian KAE announced the renewal for the next year of its cooperation with the two players of the National Youth Team in the recent European Championship.

“A.S. Karditsas JAPONIKI announces that Evdoxis Kapetakis and Christos Boutouris have renewed their partnership and will remain on the team’s roster for the new season.

The talented athletes, who recently triumphed with the National Youth team in the Pan-European Championship of Poland, continue in the A.S.K.’s potential, charting an upward course through the organization’s cooperation program during last year’s competition season.

Evdoxios is 19 years old and last season he made 4 appearances in the Basket League with our team’s jersey. His simultaneous participation in the National League 1 championship with G.S. Sofadon named him first scorer of the 2nd Group with 350 points in total and 18.4 m.o. per match. His consistency in scoring, but also in the three-point shot with 31 accurate and 1.6 ppg. per game, they ranked him as one of the most improved athletes in the division.

In the recent Pan-European Championship, the 2.01m tall forward scored 3.4 points and 1.1 rebounds per game, reaching the third step of the podium with the ‘blue and white’. In the 2022-23 season, he competed in the DEKA, with which he recorded 8.5 points per game. in the 4th Group of the 2nd National Team, while at the same time he won the third place in the Panhellenic Junior Championship in Larissa, in a tournament where he distinguished himself again in scoring (3rd scorer with 19.6 points per year).

Christos is 20 years old and, with his performance last season, he showed that he can join the roster of the men’s team. The 1.94m tall guard took advantage of the opportunity and in his “maiden” appearance in the national categories he recorded 120 points (7.3 m.o. per game) with the jersey of G.S. Sofadon in National League 1. He also scored 25 accurate 3-pointers (1.2 m.p. per match), demonstrating his shooting appeal.

His contribution to the National Youth Team, with 3.8 points and 1 rebound m.o. per game, she was valuable on the way to winning the bronze medal, while in the same tournament she made 6/14 three-pointers and a percentage of 42.9%. The young athlete started his basketball steps in 2016 at the ‘Trikala Fountas 14’ academy, which he staffed in all age groups up to the men’s team.
