Looking to the future, Mr PAOK became the first Greek club to collaborate with Opta and gains access to Opta Vision.
The Greek champions have agreed a three-year deal with the British analytics company, with the opportunity to leverage Opta Sports’ ground-breaking platform to strengthen their squad through AI.
The club’s technical director, Christos Karipidissaid the following about the deal:
“After considering all available options, we concluded that the combination of Opta Vision and ProVision data can provide our analysts with the most comprehensive solution for the evolution of our scouting and performance analysis activities.
It will allow us to incorporate fitness data into transfer planning, detect changes in a team’s playing shape during a game and optimize analysis of opponents and better understand a player’s movements on the ball.
The information will be more usable by coaches and players and not just sitting on an analyst’s hard drive. Opta Vision gives us a much more detailed understanding of players’ strengths and weaknesses as a season progresses.”
?? @PAOK_FC has become the first Greek club to access ???????? ????????????
The four-time Super League Greece champions will have access to computer vision-generated tracking data, aggregated fitness data and #AI-enriched predictive metrics.
