A shocking video, which shows the true power and importance of a group, was uploaded on social media by Kalmar AIK. The 24-year-old ace of the Swedish club, Marcus Hemenwas recently diagnosed with cancer and began treatments that resulted in him (hopefully) being temporarily out of action and losing his hair.
In the toughest match of his life, however, he is not playing alone. One by one, his teammates shaved their heads in support. When their captain entered the locker room and saw the hair on the ground and his fellow travelers with shaved heads, he burst into tears.
“When you know that you have the biggest battle of your life and you are not going into it alone, it means everything to you. It was something incredibly beautiful what the children did. I have no words to describe it. They are my best friends and their support means a lot to me and my family. They are incredible people and I am grateful to be part of Kalmar“, he emphasized.
