“PAE ARIS announces the acquisition of Martin Frydek for the next two years. Martin Frydek was born in Hrádek Karlovy Vary on March 24, 1992. The 32-year-old defender started his football career from Sparta Prague’s academies and reached the first team in the 2011-2012 season.
In the summer of 2012 he was loaned out to FK Senica in Slovakia for a season and a half and the following year he returned to the Czech Republic this time to play for Slovan Liberec.
After two and a half full seasons with Slovan Liberec (91 appearances, 6 goals, 15 assists) and a Czech Cup in his bag, Frydek returned to Sparta Prague in the summer of 2015.
The second term at the club, which brought him to prominence, lasted longer (2015-2020) and Martin Frydek celebrated another Czech Cup in his final year.
After 147 appearances, 10 goals and 19 assists in total for Sparta Prague, our new signing left the Czech Republic for good and in October 2020 moved to Switzerland on behalf of FC Luzern.
