Tsonis: “Dedicated to all Greeks – We can qualify for the final”

In the semi-finals of the EuroBasket U16 hosted in Heraklion, the Children’s National Teamwhich showing character and “metal” winner in the fourth period prevailed with 75-65 of Turkey.



A great protagonist for the “blue and white” was Alexandros Tsonis, who finished the game with 18 points, 11 of which came in the final period.

For the great success of the National Team: “We were playing against a good team and we knew we would have a difficult task. We played some good defenses, made some decisive shots and got a victory that we want to dedicate to all Greek men and women and especially to those who are tested by the fires. We are very happy that we have succeeded, that there are four of us and we will give our best to go even higher.”

For the success of their efforts after strong preparation: “We worked hard, it’s true, we wanted it a lot, it’s a reward, but we listen to our coach, who is great and we thank him for what he teaches us and that’s why we have this image, we never give up for anyone.”
