The women’s national volleyball team “cleaned” North Macedonia and made it “2 on 2”.

The women’s national volleyball team did the absolute best. The representative group comfortably defeated weak North Macedonia 3-0 in the indoor Mikras for the third match of the 2026 European Championship qualifiers and made it “2 in 2” after their victory over Austria last Sunday.

In the first set, the Greek women’s internationals had just two errors (two lost serves), so we went 4-0, 10-2 and 17-6 before the final 25-8.

In the second set, the six lost Greek serves and the not so high efficiency (38% of 54%) allowed the guests to stay in the second set for a while before the 25-14 of the Greek team.

In the third set, Apostolos Oikonomou changed the whole team as, with Papageorgiou making her debut in an official match, but without affecting the tempo at all, Greece gained a big margin for the final 25-11.
