New era with all solemnity started in National.
THE Ivan Jovanovichwhich was presented by the president of EPO, Makis Gagatsis, on August 2, gave his mark in view of the obligations in Nations Leaguemaking his first speech to the players.

It is my first time dealing with a national team, that is, being a selector and less a coach in terms of everyday life. But it’s something I really want and I think I can help you. You are a good generation, me plenty of talent and you all play in big groups. Completion, however, for each player comes through the National Team and through major competitions. It’s one thing to have only the fans of your teams talking about you and another thing to be ALL beside you. You deserved to go to the Europeans, it eluded us, but now we have the chance for something even bigger. I know very well what National means. While I was at Panathinaikos, I saw how anxious the children were to be called to the National Team and how proud they felt when that happened. As everyone talks about Salpi and Toro for what they have achieved, now is your chance to do so and bring joy to a football-mad nation. For a few days forget about your groups, joys or sorrows, put above all the feeling you have and even more like Greeks so that everyone talks about your own generation. Outdo the previous ones.
