PAE AEK announces the acquisition of football player Franzi Piero from Maccabi Haifa. The international striker from Haiti has signed a contract with our team until the summer of 2027.
Franzi Piero was born on March 29, 1995, in the city of Cap-Haitien, Haiti. At an early age, he moved with his family to Boston, USA, where in his youth he also played basketball, until he finally chose to devote himself to football.
He played for the Seacoast United Phantoms, Northeastern University Huskies, where he attended, Coastal Carolina University Chanticleers, Reading United AC and the Colorado Rapids.
In July 2018, he decided to take the step in Europe on behalf of Mouscron, with whose shirt he made 40 appearances in the 2018-19 season, scoring 9 times (4 assists). At the end of the year, he was transferred to Gingab, with whom he played in 78 games over the next three years (28 goals, 6 assists).
The next stop in his career was Maccabi Haifa, where he was transferred in July 2022 and his performances were impressive from the start. That summer he was the top scorer in the Champions League qualifiers with 5 goals. In total, with Maccabi’s shirt, he played in 106 matches (43 goals, 18 assists), winning the Championship in 2023 and the Super Cup in 2024.
Piero is also an international with the Haitian national team, with whom he made his debut in September 2018 and to date has 30 appearances, 21 goals and 3 assists.
