AEK is pleased to announce the start of its partnership with Wilson Davies. The 36-year-old (07/09/1988) international Portuguese winger, 1.92m tall, has signed his contract and is joining the men’s Handball squad.
Wilson Davies started handball at Sporting Lisboa, where he played from 2000 to 2006. In 2006-2008, he played for Spanish side RGC Covadonga, before taking the leap in his career by transferring to Porto. With the “blues” he won 6 consecutive Championships and 1 Super Cup, while at the same time he made dozens of appearances in the Champions League and the EHF Cup.
In 2014, he transferred to the French Nantes, with whom he won the League Cup, while the following two years (2015-2017) he played in Rennes. The also French Dunkirk HGL (2017-2019) and US Ivry (2019-2022) followed and in 2022 he wore the jersey of Eurofarm Pelister, winning the Championship. Last season he returned to France on behalf of C’ Chartres MHB.
He is an international with the Portugal National Team.
