Panachaki beat Ioannina and continues in the Betsson Cup

Qualified to the “16” of the Betsson Cup Panachaic defeating me 2-0 PAS Ioannina in Zosimades. The Achaeans were more cynical, they prevailed with a goal De Thomas (35′ with penalty and 63′), while the Epirotes stopped on the Stoyanovich who performed impressive operations.

Rene Poms, wanting to wake up his team, made four changes at the start of the second half, throwing Begala, Gino, Lupa and Athanasiou into the battle in the places of Manzi, Aziz, Kalemi and Douma. The Epiroites immediately became more threatening, with Stojanovic making saves in the 49th minute of Heinrich’s shot and in the 54th minute of Sepovic’s header. Against the flow of the match, the visitors found a second goal, in the 63′, with Lesai and Panagou working together perfectly and De Tomas in an empty net to make it 0-2.

Stojanovic then kept the ball rolling by stopping the efforts of Athanasios (79′) and Leo (81′), while Panachaiki missed the chance for a third goal in the counterattack with De Tomas just a few centimeters short of a hat-trick (82′). Madrigal in the 89th minute was beaten by Athanasiou, with Sepovic wasting PAS’s last chance to get back into the match, shooting high wide.
