Women’s Cup: Olympiacos came through the Athenian home as champions, Panathinaikos easily

Although they faced strong resistance from the strengthened and ambitious Athenikos, Olympiacos came through with 71-65 from “D. Kaltsas” and advanced to the quarterfinals of the Women’s Cup.

Merit Hebe with 17 points was the leading scorer, while Rebecca Tobin had 14 points and 13 rebounds and Eleanna Christinaki added 13 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Jessica Sheppard with 22 and Evina Stamati with 17 points fought more than the Byron team.

The title holder Panathinaikos crushed me 79-43 Aris in Holargos and also passed into the octet. Elizabeth Dixon with 16 and Anna-Niki Stamolambrou with 13 points were the first scorers.
