Stoiximan Super League: Difficult exit for AEK, Aris for the streak

This is the seventh meeting between the two teams and in the previous six there has been perfect balance, with two wins for Atromitos, two wins for Volos and two draws. The Peristeri team did not win in their first two games against Volos, then they made two in a row and in the last two there is a victory of the Magnesia team and a 1-1 draw last season.

The two victories of Volos in Peristeri are with a score of 2-0, while Atromitos have won 1-0 and 2-1. The ties between them are 0-0 and 1-1.

On October 6, 2019, it was the first match in their history for the Super League, where Atromitos prevailed 3-2 away from home thanks to the goals of Androutsou (39′), Manoussou (43′) and Giakoumakis (62′), while for Torres scored twice against the Magnesia team (7′, 36′).

In last year’s matches for the championship in both venues there were two draws and a victory of Atromitos in Volos with 2-1 for the regular duration. Their Stoiximan Playouts draw was 2-2 in Magnesia.

Balance also exists in all of their matches for the championship and the Greek Cup, since in 16 matches they have six wins and four draws.

Panaitolikos-AEK

After four consecutive victories of AEK – in three of which they did not concede a goal – last year’s meeting in Agrinio ended in a draw (2-2).

This was the first tie in the matches that have taken place for the A’ National/Super League championship between the two teams. There were eight victories for AEK and three for Panaitolikos in the previous eleven.

Both have scored in seven of the twelve, while there are four victories of AEK without conceding a goal and two of Panaitolikos.

The last victory of Panaitolikos at home against AEK was on November 24, 2018 with 2-1 (26′, 51′ Kamaras – 76′ Simoes), while the last victory of Agrini’s team away from home was by the same score a match against the Kitrinomavros, which took place at OAKA on January 16, 2022.

AEK in 2017-18 scored its biggest victory in Agrinio, with a score of 4-1. Bakatsetas (6′), Christodoulopoulos (36′), Araucho (44′), Lopes (61′) scored for the Kitrinomavrou, while Morar reduced the score for the hosts in the 68th minute.

The first meeting in their history took place in Agrinio on January 4, 1976, in Panaitolikos’ maiden year in the First National League, and AEK prevailed 3-1. Alexiadis was the scorer of the first goal for the Agrinio team, while Dedes (5′), Nikolaou (13′) and Papaioannou (43′) scored for AEK.

Ares-Lamia

Lamia got their third draw at the home of Aris in a total of seven matches in last year’s game for the regular duration of the championship. All ties are with different scores, since the first was 1-1, the second 0-0 and the last 2-2.

In their last three games – independent at home – they both score, which is against their “habits”, since in the previous seven out of eleven there was only one team that scored a goal.

Laurent Moron has already scored four goals against Lamia in both matches. At three are Luis Palma and Jakub Brambetz.

Aris’ 5-0 win on November 8, 2022 in Thessaloniki is the biggest they have against Lamia, while two of their three wins are 3-1.

The first time the two teams met was on August 30, 1995 at the home of Lamia for the groups of the Greek Cup, with Aris winning 1-0 thanks to a goal by Nikos Tsiantakis. That season the Fthiotida team competed in the 3rd National League.
