The first argument between Manchester City and the Premier League “Citizens” won!
The English champions have long been in dispute with the organizing authority for many violations concerning both the competitive and financial aspects.
So City’s legal team managed to get a major court victory after they decided to take legal action against the English league over related party trading regulations. they were solemnly vindicated.
These regulations came into effect in 2021 when Newcastle was bought by the Saudi Arabian fund and were intended to prevent clubs from… tying and overcharging sponsorship deals with the companies they are owned by.
Maybe the rest 115 charges to be “frozen” however at the moment City’s income from the Etihad Airwaysbut also the City Football Group belonging to Mansoor are all legal.
These regulations will no longer exist in Premier League a fact which can financially affect many of the teams in the top league.
