A new heavy Israeli strike in the south of Beirut on Monday night shows footage that has come to light on social networks. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed the strike, saying warplanes fired missiles at Hezbollah’s “intelligence headquarters.”

The strike comes less than an hour after the Israeli army ordered the evacuation of two buildings.

The Israeli military spokesman issued an evacuation order, calling on residents to leave specific buildings in Beirut’s southern suburbs.

Some of the buildings are located in the Burj al Barajneh borough, which is located between Rafik Hariri International Airport and the city of Haret Hraik.

The cordon is tightening in Lebanon as Israel launches attacks against Hezbollah in the south by land, sea and air, appearing ready to expand ground operations. The Israeli military announced on Monday that it would soon launch operations on Lebanon’s southern coast, with the air force playing an active role. The army announced that it will soon be involved in operations against Hezbollah Israeli Navy.

The Israeli military has warned residents to stay away from beaches south of the Awali River, as well as fishermen to stay away from the area in a 36-mile stretch.
