Ready to return to football, even in a different role than the one we were used to Jurgren Klopp!
Having stepped down as Liverpool manager at the end of last season, the German coach will take on the role of global head of football for the Red Bull!
In his new role, which he will assume from January 1, 2025, Klopp will offer the Red Bull clubs (Leipzig, Salzburg, New York and Bragadino) the “rich” knowledge and experience he has after so many years as coach at the top level, while also advising on transfers and general strategic matters concerning the football part.
In fact, after the formalization of his collaboration with Red Bull, Klopp explained his decision, stressing that he is looking forward to this new challenge for him!
In detail what he said in his post:
“Some of you may already know, some may not. From 1 January 2025 I will be taking over the role of Head of Global Football for Red Bull and I am really looking forward to it. A few months ago I said that I don’t see myself in the role of coach and that is still true, but I still love football and work. Red Bull offers me the ideal conditions for that.
I want to share the experiences I have gained from my many years of work and we all know that there are many more successful coaches than me, but in my career I also fought to stay, I also fought for trophies. Sometimes we failed, sometimes we succeeded, and managing it all is not easy, but it is possible. I want to keep learning.
When you are a coach and you have a game every three days, you don’t have time for that and now I have enough time and I have an opportunity in front of me. I want to discover her and see how I can help. Contributing to the development of football. Like I said, I’m looking forward to it all, but for now, I’m back on vacation. See you in January!”.
