Alcarat on Nadal: “From a kid who watched you on TV and wanted to be a tennis player, thank you”

by

The great one Rafael Nadalone of the best (if not the best) tennis players of all time, has decided to end his career, causing world tennis to “bow down” to him, be it opponents he faced or others he inspired.

Both of these categories fall into Carlos Alcarath. The young Spaniard is considered by many as the “successor” of “Rafa” and has not hidden that he had him as a role model. This is exactly what he emphasized in his personal message after announcing his retirement Nadalthrough which he thanked him for making him love tennis.

We remind you that the two will represent her Spain at Davis Cup of December 2024, which will be held in Malaga. This will also be the last tournament of Nadal’s career.

His message in detail:

From the kid who saw you on TV and dreamed of becoming a tennis player to the one who had the huge gift of playing next to you at Roland Garros representing Spain at the Olympics!

Thank you so much for being a role model at all levels, your legacy is unrepeatable! I really enjoyed you and I will miss you a lot when you leave after the Davic Cup, Rafa!
