THE Sasha Vezenkov is back for good after his one-year layoff from the NBA. The Bulgarian forward is in incredible situation since the start of the season and is set to have an even better year than the one that earned him her MVP award Euroleague!
The 29-year-old player of Olympiakos made a terrible appearance against the Armani Milan and was named the most valuable player of the third matchday in the top European competition. To succeed, he collected 31 units in the rating system (22 points, 3/6 2-pointers, 3/5 3-pointers, 7/8 shots, 7 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 steals, 6 fouls earned in 23:39).
In fact, it is the second consecutive matchday of the Euroleague that the Vezenkov is named MVP, since the same thing happened in the previous one, after Olympiakos’ victory over Zalgiris. Then, of course, the Bulgarian shared the award with Neil Sacco of Villeurbanne, but now it was… all his own!
It is worth noting, also, that Sasha has received the corresponding award twice in both competitions Stoiximan GBLwhich means he hopefully counts four consecutive distinctions as MVP in all events. Not to forget, of course, that he was also named most valuable player in the Super Cup of Rhodes.
